Am I the only one who has a boy and girl name narrowed down? It seems like so many of you ladies have lists. I've got one of each and plan to use which ever one is needed.
I didn't narrow out list down last time until we knew the sex so we didn't have to argue about a name we didn't need! We don't agree on name very easily so I will probably wait again. I have a list for both genders of about 10 names.

I have no names either way, like I like names but nothing I can see calling a baby, of course we named DS2 when he was 2 days old from a list of 4 names. DH says boy or girl the next baby will be named Quinn because it goes with Caden and Rowan (5 letters and ends in n).
We have a boy's name for sure, haven't thought about girls names too much yet but I really like Madeleine. I think I could sell H on it. Only problem I think would be that she would have a cousin named Madison.

I'm not having anymore so no more lists for me - but with the other kids, I didn't really think about it too much. We never had major lists - I think we had 2 boy names for Adam. If he was a girl, he would have been Carolyn after my grandma and probably would have used Carrie as a nn. For Jack - we were either going to go with Philip John and then decided on John Philip, nn Jack (my grandpa is a John "Jack", and DH's dad's name is Philip) I think I only had one girl name, Kelly Anne - glad I didn't need to use it in hindsight! With Audrey, I really liked the name Claire or Clara, DH like Stephanie. The two names we both liked once we knew that she was a girl were Julianne and Audrey.
I guess I'm more like you and never had huge lists, but my original thoughts didn't carry over from one to the next.

I am the opposite of this, thinking of names isn't fun for me. Not sure why, so I wait and don't think about it. Last time after we found out it was a boy, we figured out a name in a few hours, and that was that :-).
Well the only reason we aren't narrowed down is because DH won't agree with me! Haha but *I* have names narrowed down! Also part of me is a little sad to have to figured out though because I like the naming process, so I don't think I'll ever be 100% because it's fun to think about other names.
We had agreed on a boys & girls name prior to finding out the sex with DD. So we would have used the boys name if we had a son and we were going to use our runner-up girls name if we had another daughter.

Me too! I'm glad I'm not the only one who doesn't like the name game. I have very specific taste in names, and it's different from most people's. So when I see name lists I usually can't imagine using any of them (I don't mean lists on here specifically, just name lists in general). I'm definitely waiting til we know the sex to start worrying about girl names.

We hated picking out a name last time. So much pressure to slap such a defining label on this person we hadn't met. We didn't even start thinking about it until after we knew the sex, so the options would already be narrowed down.
We were only about 40% sure of a name when C was born and then just went with it because we were too tired to discuss it further.
So, yeah, no lists yet for future kiddo, let alone a final name.

Poor second child once again gets screwed with the second-choice name

I have 2 girls names picked for any future kids. Gisele or Jasmine mn Suaad, it's Arabic it means joy, my gmas name. Boys...I love love Domonic, but DH hates it he says its sounds like Demonic. I also like Donovan but DH says no...we both like Adrian for a boy though...so it would prob be that. I like Julian and Adrian sibset...however...I'm one and done so this is just for fun!

I LOVE the second choice name though! I would have been DD's MN but it isn't a family name, and her MN is my mother's name. Our choices were super ethnic though, so they probably wouldn't be popular here, but I love them.

Yes for boy, Grant Joseph. This was picked before we were ever pregnant with Sophia. Girl names are soooo up in the air. I like Evelyn (Evie nn) right now as my top runner.
What does proboard think of the girl name Annalise?

We had 2 boys names picked out for Dylan. No girl names. We were team green and would have been screwed had he been a girl.
We used our second choice as our boys name with Lyla. We still didn't agree on her name and I think DH just gave up when we had to decided after she was born.
I thought that I would look at my baby and see what name fit him/her but I don't think that's how it works. The baby makes the name so I don't see the need for a whole list of names anymore.
