Vent about catty girly nonsense!

I went to a bachelorette party this weekend for an ex coworker - I only stayed for dinner/drinks and didn't go out to the karaoke bar afterwards. I basically made an excuse related to Max and got the f out. Partly bc I was tired from working all week and just wanted to relax at home and part of it was bc I didn't really want to hear any more annoying, bitchy, girly nonsense. 

For example: the bride kept mentioning how skinny she is.... OVER AND OVER AGAIN, basically bragging about it. It was so awkward. She looks good... but wow, I've never heard anyone be so obnoxious. She kept finding ways to bring it up like:

"I can eat whatever I want tonight bc I am sooo buff from doing Insanity!"

and

"OMG I found my wedding dress used in a size TEN and I had a dozen fittings bc I was a size 2 and they had to get it down to that.." blah blah blah. 

I'm not just bitter bc I've gained weight (well, technically lost the pregnancy weight and then gained a little back... sigh.) but I just thought that was obnoxious. WTF? The group of guys we hang out with never talk like this. Neither do any of the women I'm friends with (besides her, apparently) actually. I think the bride is kind of an attention whore. She also kept bringing up the same stories she used to tell at work about her exes...

That's worse than the ones that complain about being fat when they aren't fat just so people can tell them they aren't fat. Irritating. I would have made an excuse to GTFO as well.

Ugh. How old is she? I thought people grew out of that behavior when they graduated middle school.

I thought so too. She is 27 or 28, I think. She always seemed older than her age but when she talks like that, not so much... we haven't hung out in a while and this is why!
