I'm getting all of our baby things ready for a yard sale. I have an old wooden cradle that was handmade in the 1950s. It's heavy wood and large. If this was something you were interested in, how much would you pay for it at a yard sale?
A note: this is in a somewhat low cost of living area.

I just doubt it would go for that much at a yard sale, at least in my area yard sales are for cheaper things that have a lot of wiggle room. Maybe try craigslist first?

yeah i think you'd have better luck on craigslist or a consignment shop. Yardsales people want a deal
Hm, maybe I will try craiglist if it doesn't sell this weekend. I'm selling everything else for really low prices--most clothing items I'm selling for 50 cents, but this I'm not willing to just give away.

Hmm. I was going to say to mark it at $50, prepared to have someone talk you down, but either I'm completely misunderstanding what it is you have or am completely clueless to this. I live on our local Buy/Sell/Trade FB sites, and I could see it being posted for $50 but going for $30, but again, I'm probably way off here.

Yeah, my initial thought was mark it at 50 and then maybe go down to 40. Thirty would be my absolute minimum. Thanks for the link! I'll have to check it out.

I use Craigslist to sell bigger items. I just sold Jason's swing and jumperoo for $180 together. I tried a yard sale and consignment store but people were only willing to spend $10-$40 for both.
I would def try to sell it individually on a fb group or craigslist. You might find someone there that is specifically looking for a similar item and willing to pay more.
We had a solid wood cradle that my Mom sold at a yard sale many, many moons ago. I believe she asked $75 and got $50. Of course people offered less, but she said no.
