So we had our A/S last night and it went very well. The baby was moving around a ton, so the ultrasound tech couldn't get all the pictures she needed so I have to go back on the 12th. When I asked how big he was they said 12 oz! I am 19 weeks and that's normally the size of a 21 week baby. Also, DH saw on the screen his abdomen was the 94th percentile and his head was the 80th. My sister's son (with the same due date) did the same and he was born 4 weeks early, but perfectly healthy and over 7ibs! I asked the dr. if this was normal and her only response was, "it's within range." lol
Yes, dr. told us boy at NT scan, confirmed by blood test at week 15 and he showed us the goods yesterday lol.
Exciting news! How did the dr know it was a boy at the nt scan though? I thought that was too early to tell.
The baby was in a good position and saw the penis. I was 13 weeks but measuring a couple days ahead. A lot of people said the same thing as you, but I guess with a boy it's easier to tell? Either way the doctor was right.
(and I hope I misread/misunderstood you thinking that 7lb was a big baby... that's a normal to smaller baby around where I am...)
My sister was 4 weeks early and had a 7ib healthy boy. I don't think 7 ibs is big, just in her case he was big for being born early. this ended up being a very good thing because it meant he was healthy and didnt need any special treatment after birth. She, like me, was also measuring far ahead during pregnancy. I just hope if I continue to measure ahead I don't have to go all the way to 40 weeks

I see... that makes sense now!
My bump has suddenly gone from measuring bang on 2wks ago to being 2wks ahead yesterday... a 4wk growth in 2wks... I'm just hoping it was cos the baby was lying with its ass sticking out!
