Does your kid do something they know they're not supposed to and then react comically when caught?
I just heard the sound of Zoe climbing up on the dog crate and turned around and said, "Zoe..." and she replied with, "NO!" and scurried backwards off the the crate and back onto the futon, lol.
She will stand in the tub, say "sit dow", and smile at me with this cheesy grin. She always says no, no and looks for a reaction when touching the dog bowls or outlet covers.
Yes, I've noticed it more this just this week. Her newest game is to stand on her chair or the couch. She thinks it's hysterical when I tell her to sit down.
I don't know if comically is the right word. It's more of a "wait for mom to make eye contact, and without breaking said eye contact, blatantly do whatever she just asked me not to do while staring at her defiantly. When she tries to physically stop me, I do it faster/harder."
Sometimes it frightens me just how boldly she defies me. The teenage years are going to be a blast.
Lol, yes. Jamie gets a very solemn look and shakes his head
....before continuing to do it.
I really, really want to see this on video. It sounds hilarious and adorable.
I have to remember to video it.
I usually have to turn away so he doesn't see me cracking up. Today he was flinging orzo at the dog and shaking his head and cracking up. I had to leave the room it was so funny
Yes and she says "no, no, no" as she's doing it! Then she looks for me to see if I'm watching
Oh my gosh, Lincoln too! They would be so much trouble together if we lived by each other.
Same with Henry! He'll say "no no no" as soon as he is about to do something bad. We hear him sometimes in the kitchen, from the living room, saying no & then we know he's in the cat food.
