Hey, we just signed our leasing agreement last night and our house will be up for rent in the next few weeks. *gulp*
I chose to take the pictures of our house and send them on to our listing agent. Is anyone willing to take a look at the photos? I would love some extra eyes to check if anything is out of place, it looks clean, not super cluttered and that the spaces look nice; angle wise.
The house was built in 1881-so some of the upstairs rooms with the roof angles are a little difficult to capture in pictures. Let me know what you think.
I would have posted them here-but 16 pictures seemed a bit much. So, they are on my blog- I will probably DD the link later. *poof*
Thank you so much
EDIT: Thanks everyone for your help! The new pictures are going to be perfect thanks to you!
My comments are so silly, but just some things I noticed that provided a bit of clutter. Feel free to ignore me but I'd just adjust and retake the photos:
Picture 4: pile of picked vegetables laying on the sidewalk, I'd also straighten the umbrella upright. Picture 5: straighten the umbrella Picture 6: umbrella Picture 8: remove standing fan seen in far bedroom, remove telescope Picture 9: remove telescope, seen in mirror Pictures 10, 11, 12: turn the fan off Pictures 13, 14, 15: turn the light(s) on
The umbrella doesn't bother me, but even without reading the other comments, I noticed the kitchen ceiling fan and light being off in some photos like BeagleMama did.

I agree with the lights like pp said especially the fan.
Also on a side note as a renter but I'd prefer a few rooms to be a more neutral color but that's just IMO. If you aren't able to paint can you leave a something with the rooms and the paint color for touch ups.
So cute! I think the angles you took photos from are good and it doesn't look cluttered to me.
I'd edit down the number of photos by cutting out 2, 3, 5, and 11. 2-5 are nice, but you get the point across with just photos 1 (of the house itself), 4 (back yard + garden, I agree to pick up beets and trim back the cabbage(?) that is covering the walkway), and 6 (open grass and garage). Picture 11 doesn't add any new information you can't see from the other photos, so it's easy enough to cut.
I'm not a fan of the birds on the wall by the black cabinet in the kitchen and I'd remove the rug by the sink. Can you turn on just the light on the ceiling fan, and leave the other light off? That way you have a light to show off the cabinet area, and the natural light from the windows illuminates the dining area.
And the bedroom in the last pic - I'd hang a curtain over the closet, but pull it open enough that you can see the curtain on the far left but still see inside the closet.
I also agree with lights on in rooms (and the light on the fan in the 1st bathroom as well). The telescope didn't bother me when I first looked, but now it does, so I guess that could go, too.

Yeah, we talked about it-but we spent a long time painting every room and just can't bear to paint again. We will be leaving behind every color should they need it. We will also give renters the option to paint if they'd like to.
Hopefully, someone shows up that loves some bright colors like we do! : )

Thanks for the suggestions! It's a spaghetti squash in picture 4-unfortunately I can't cut it back without ruining the veggies(but I'll definitely pick up the beets!)
I can definitely limit the pictures- and I will work with the lights in the rooms.
I really needed extra eyes-I didn't even notice the rug by the sink-but it doesn't need to be there : )

I think it looks great and wouldn't change a thing. I may be a little more picky if you were putting up for sale. I wish the rentals we had looked like that.
Photo 1: Power wash the sidewalks and porch area, maybe add a few flowers to the small bed on the left. Photo 2: Whats the wire running up the side? Can that go away? I would add some bigger / brighter flowers to the window boxes and trim down the bush on the right. Again powerwash the sidewalk Photo 4: Pick up the veggies on the walk, trim back the escaping veggies if possible. Water the beds before you take pictures of them, the soil looks richer and more inviting. Photo 5: Get rid of the brush pile Photo 6: I would rearrange the furniture to make the patio space look bigger. Power wash the patio. Put some bright flowers in the window box on the shed. Level the umbrella out to block the view of the neighbors house and what looks like a basketball hoop. Photo 7: Take the photo from an angle to get rid of the chest of drawers or move it all together, move the stuff from behind the door. Close the door in whatever the blue room is. Change the bedding to a solid / less busy pattern. Photo 8: Straighten the stuff on the shelves and under the printer, pull the key board out to a normal position, close the door on the right. Move the fan in the bedroom. Photo 10: Turn the fan off, the lighting is funky especially the swagged light over the sink. Pick up the mat. Angle the cabinet in the corner. Add something above the cabinets on the right to continue the consistent spacing. Add something on the counters. Take the picture to not have the fridge in the corner of the shot. Photo 11: Included in photo 10. There appears to be either a real pet or a status in the living room, I would remove it from the picture. Photo 12: Included in photo 10. Ditch the stuff on top of the fridge and to the right of the last cabinet. I would actually get rid of picture 10 and just do 11 & 12. Photo 13: Add a chair in the corner in front of the book shelves turn the lights off in the kitchen. Photo 15: Add a curtain over the closet, ditch the tv(?) in the corner. I would rearrange the furniture because this is making the room look TINY.

Ditto. Since its just a rental, I think the pics are fine. The only thing that I might change is moving the telescope out of the pictures.
That house is adorable, and I love that yard and veggie beds! I would be thrilled to find that much character and outdoor space in a rental.
