We're having a fence put up in a couple of weeks, and everyone we have talked to said we should put a sealer on it so it will last.
I was looking at Cabot's Australian Timber Oil because it has some pretty good reviews online, but I've also read that some people don't like Cabot since Valspar bought them?
Does anyone have experience with sealers on fences, and can recommend something?

I don't have long term experience, but we put Thompson's water seal on ours back in May, and it looks good. We got the one with a little bit of stain (honey- which I thought I'd hate, but it's not bad). We were too cheap to fork out for the Cabot.

Awesome - the one fence guy I talked to suggested Thompson's, so I was wondering about it.
Do you by chance have any pics of the Honey? I guess the ones with a little tint/stain to them are supposed to last slightly longer - I'm just not sure how I feel about the tints/stain?

It looks the most honey-y in the morning, but depending on sun can look more natural. We chose the bit of stain since it says it will last a little longer. My H also put it on a little heavy. He used a garden sprayer (cheaper than actual stain sprayers).
