Yay! Another west coaster! I'm in Northern California and extremely jealous that you are going to be living in Monterey! Being a volunteer at the aquarium would be so much fun.
I saw March of the Penguins and I still thought Emperor penguins were like 6 feet tall until just this minute. And I refuse to believe otherwise.
I'm going to have nightmares of being attacked by 6ft penguins now, people. They can be mean sons of bitches! I can handle them at waist level, but not my height!
In hindsight, I guess it is kind of creepy. Can you imagine a giant penguin body waddling at you??? LOL!!
I can't believe they are mean, I have seen Happy Feet.

They can be nice too! They all have different personalities. The kings were generally nicer. Except at feeding time. It was a slow process because we had to feed them individually and shout out who ate how much. The gentoos would sneak up behind you while you cleaned and get a huge chunk of skin, twist, and pull. That hurt so bad! But some of them were so sweet!
That kind of sounds like what I did to my older brother when we were little... I love Monterey and the Aquarium. Good luck getting a position, that would be amazing!
Greetings! I love all the animal pictures/other pics from your job. How about baby pictures? I'd love to see some cute ones from the past 16 months! Bonus if you did any of the photo contests on your own (I wasn't around back in the day).
What cool thing has your DD learned lately? Cute things? Frustrating things?

Hey there! I have march baby too.
I remember when I was in elementary school we had a wildlife assembly in our cafeteria. They had a monkey there and he started eating gum from the bottom of the table. Haha.

Lol! We always brought our own tables. They got pretty disgusting after 12 different animals ate and pooped on them in one hour!
Hahaha bringing your own table sounds a lot smarter.
