I returned something I had bought with a gift card, and they refunded in the form of a gift card, which they mailed to me. But because I had moved, it went to the wrong address and was forwarded, but had not made it to me after a week or so. So I called. They cancelled that card and sent a replacement - via FedEx with signature required. Noooooo
FedEx has tried to delivery twice and is requiring that someone be at home to sign for it. The FedEx facility is way the fuck across town AND we are going out of town this weekend. I won't get my gift card until NEXT weekend!
Of course, I received the cancelled gift card in the mail (USPS) on Monday.

Can you sign the tag or leave a signed, dated note that they have permission to leave it?
I freaking hate it when shippers do this. I get so annoyed when Amazon shippers do this and they always do it for the stupidest stuff. A $200 video monitor? Sure, leave it on the porch. A $5 bath stopper? I NEED A SIGNATURE.
