We live in an old house that was kind of neglected for years. The spiders have had a long time to establish their colonies. We had an exterminator come several times last year, and we're way past due for another visit. I'm seeing numerous spiders (and those nasty earwigs!) every day and I CAN'T HANDLE IT ANY MORE!!!
The exterminator uses delta dust (deltamethrin), which is made from chrysanthemums (that means its natural and safe, right? Lol!) I can't find any info on delta dust and pregnancy. Does anyone have any experience or advice? I'm thinking of having him come out on a day that Ben goes to camp, and then vacating the house for several hours after he sprays.
I have no idea on the delta dust but living with spiders and earwigs would raise my blood pressure and that can't be good for the baby, right? *shudder*
We have a pest service but they only do the outside of the house. I don't spend a ton of time out there so I haven't worried about it at all.

Ask the exterminator but I'd plan to be out of the house for a few hours after the work is done. We had a bedbug issue in May and even though the exterminator used eco-friendly products, they don't know enough about any effects on pregnant women so they played it safe and told me to stay out of the apartment for four hours after the work was done. So I shopped until I dropped.

That's exactly my plan! There's one Buy Buy Baby waaaaaaaay on the other side of town I haven't been motivated to go to. It will take me at least and hour each way, plus lunch and a pedicure and there's like five hours right there!
