I'm having blush issues. I swear that when I apply inside, I use a light hand and it looks very subtle. Then I get outside and it looks like I'm wearing a ton of blush Does anyone else have this issue? I really think it looks fine indoors, but here I look like I'm wearing way too much.
I also wanted to share my hair, because I'm LOVING velcro rollers. I have fine hair that is often limp and lifeless. For the past few months I've been using velcro rollers a lot, and they are soooo easy. I blow dry until my hair is left only slightly damp, put in the rollers (takes just a minute), blow dry each roller for about 15 seconds, do my makeup and get dressed, spray with hairspray, and then take the rollers out and shake my hair out with my fingers. It gives my hair some nice volume and body.
Also, I tested out Loreal's BB Cream at the drugstore and did not like it. It comes out of the tube white, then turns to flesh color when it's rubbed in - just like Vitazing. It had an oily feel, and just didn't seem any different than a drugstore tinted moisturizer. I tried the second to lightest color, and it seemed really dark. I also didn't see any spf on the bottle. I'm trying to google to see if I just missed it, but can't figure it out online. The UK version has spf 12, which is very inadequate.
I can't say enough good things about the BB cream otherwise. I have noticed a great difference in the texture of my skin since I was using the sample religiously for about 2 weeks.
I really, really love the Clinique. My only complaint is the price, as I like to use drug store products when possible, so I do continue to keep my eye peeled for new drug store BB's and online reviews to see if something seems comparable. So far nothing is looking as good as the Clinique, though.
Yay!!!! You are ridiculously pretty. I love your blush, and your earrings!
Thank you! I am not very good at putting on makeup so this means a lot. I am always impressed how good your eye makeup looks! Hopefully I will get better at this.. LOL! I think I need to check out the instructions page above.
The blush is cheap Wet n wild in Heather silk and the earrings came with the multicolor statement necklace I bought from GoJane. I really wanted to wear the necklace too but the roses on my shirt were competing with it so I took that off.

You look so pretty!!! That blush is a very nice color for you.
House - thanks for the eye makeup compliment. I'm actually pretty new to trying different colors and looks with eye shadow, so sometimes it's a miss
Namasteak - I have been pairing Cork with so many colors. It's become my favorite crease color. I think you will love the MAC Skinfinish! Be sure to let me know what you think!
Majick - that is such a sweet compliment. Thank you so much
GoDawgs and Houseof999 - I viewed A LOT of tutorials on YouTube, and have practiced a lot, with varying results. This is the best I've ever had it turn out - I was so proud of myself!!

I tried a sample of the Clinique BB, an I felt like it went on kind of dry (I have combo skin). I even used the Beyond Belief vit c serum before and still went on dry. What can I do? I think I need to retry the BB

Apply it when your skin is a bit damp and it will go on easily! Since the Vit C serum wasn't enough, I would just apply right after washing your face. Just don't let your skin be too damp prior to application, or the BB cream will be like rubbing in lotion (I learned the hard way).
I bought the Philosophy cream blush at Big Lots for $3. I have been using it daily under my powder blush. It makes my blush last all day long! I am LOVING it! I get home at 530ish and I still have blush on.
Godawgs your picture doesn't make it seem like you have too much blush on. I do have the same issue. I get in the car each morning and look to see if I have clown cheeks.

Okay, good. Part of it may be that I went several years without wearing blush and just started wearing it a few months ago, so maybe it's just shocking to myself to see pink cheeks.
