I'm assuming we all care about home interior design because we are here, but what is your other obsession?
<<begin dorking out>> Mine is strollers. Omg. I went to buy buy baby today (we are in Detroit) for the first time ever and it was like porn. We already own 5 strollers and I've cut myself off, but omg. I could have spent an hour looking at them.
It's just such an interesting design problem for me. Small, comfortable, safe, folding, adjustable. I love looking at how different strollers solve the design issues.

I get it. I'm totally obsessed with paint of all varieties. Particularly if it comes in a spray can. FlexSeal, that neat waterproofing stuff, etc. Also, I really like to collect bowls and vases. The different shapes and sizes, as well as the gorgeous things that can be done with color and texture just fascinate me.
From a non-decor standpoint ... vintage cookbooks. The typography, the grammar, the recipes that would be revolting to modern americans. Fascinating. Bonus points if it's used/loved to the point of near ruin. I figure if a cookbook isn't used within an inch of it's life, it wasn't a very useful cookbook.

Squeep! Me too!!
I geeked out to an unprecedented level one day. There's a famous local church cookbook, of which I have a modern edition (sad face). The original edition was published in the 1960s and contained menus for entertaining. The menus were omitted from the reprints. I took pics of the entertaining menus with my cell phone when I saw the original edition in an antique store one day. The menus are hysterical. In addition to "The Plantation Hunt Breakfast" with the poetic description, "Early on a frosty morn, the hunters gather," there's my impractical favorite, "Dinner for the Governor" which was the actual menu Mrs. So and So used when she hosted the governor and 150 of her closest friends in 1963. Lolz. Because home cooks really need an oysters and caviar dinner menu for 150. But it's such a time capsule that I had to write them down.
I'm also a HUGE fan of entertaining guides from the '40s-'60s which always have fun tips about having out ashtrays and the necessity of post-dinner cordials lol.
ETA - My other geek out is genealogy. It's a problem. I even do genealogy for friends. I'm especially guilty of getting obsessed during exam time as a mental break.
i'm quickly becoming obsessed with strollers. no other piece of baby equipment holds my interest in such a way. i'm keep a list of all the scenarios where we would likely need a stroller so i can compare that to the various styles/functions and try to get something that meets the majority of our needs.
i know it's house/decor related, but i am really obsessed with furniture design. working in a thrift store feeds this obsession since i get to see and play with all kinds of old (and some new!) furniture on a daily basis.
I was going to say cookbooks, too. I don't even cook well, but really enjoy reading them. They are such a great representative of certain time periods.
Stationary. I just want to frame some I see bc it's so pretty.
I have about 7 strollers. Drives my h crazy, but they all serve different purposes.
Ummm...real estate is probably my #1. I love seeing trends, finding deals, making money, managing properties. I kind of regret spending all that effort to become my profession--I bet I would be way richer if I'd gone straight into real estate. But I wouldn't have met H ::sigh:::
Kids, I have a lot (4) & I kind of want more. I look at this Foster home for Special Needs kids in China on FB all the time & I'm dying to adopt some. My friend has adopted 3 from yhere which is how I know about it. There are twin boys I want SO bad--but I have a baby already & it's so expensive to do international adoption plus med costs with special needs. I need to unlike the page because it kills me a little each day that I can't bring one (or more) home.
I watch a lot of Organizing & cleaning videos on YouTube hoping it'll motivate me. Hasn't yet.

I like to make things, fabrics, fashion, art, and I love all things old. I totally geek out over historical fashion. I have driven 7 hours to a musuem to see a traveling exhibit of fashion dolls from Paris.
Make up! I looooove make up! And skincare. So much money spent. I have to say though that I've stuck with the same skincare line for almost a year now, which is surprising. Usually I get bored with something or it's not performing the way I want,so I find something else, but what I've been using (Bioelements) has been awesome. I love to try new fun colors of eyeshadow. I recently bought these three: Turquoise www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?productId=xlsImpprod3570089#sku2231949

They look obnoxious seperately, but they look so cool and summery mixed together.
Can I ask what skin care you are using now? I just ordered from Paula's choice samples so I'm excited that for. I used Mary Kay for years and then arbonne for years and haven't found anything I like since.

I use Bioelements. I buy most of my stuff off Amazon because it's cheaper. If you want to try an entire line, look for the "Great Skin in a Box" sets. I often see them for less than $100 (the last one I bought was $70 I think) and you get a full size 4 piece set. I use the oily skin line, and the set lasts me 4 months or so.

Interior design? Meh. Landscape design? Oh yes. Tree biology? Now you've got me. Other that that, fashion. I love talking about makeup, clothes and shopping.
