Last year we put up a new front door the day we closed. I just want to paint the interior (well, my dad will do it for me tomorrow). It is a primed door, I'm pretty sure its fiberglass (bought it from HD). What do I clean it with? I don't want to use TSP or anything like that if I don't want to (have a 2 1/2 year old). Do I need to prime it although it came "primed"? And can I use the same SW trim paint that I used on my trim and closet doors?
When I painted my front door I just wiped it down with a wet cloth (it was dusty but not downright dirty). If it is already primed I wouldn't do another coat of primer - I'd skip straight to paint. I think a trim paint should be fine on an interior side of a door.

I usually just use dish soap/Mr. Clean type water on stuff I paint.
I just had my exterior doors professionally painted and all the guy did was Windex and a paper towel. He said anything to take the dust off is all that matters.
