My weekend was good! I managed to get up early and play some tennis yesterday with H. We're both terrible at tennis, and hadn't played for over a month, so it was pretty rough going, but we had fun anyway.
This week I'm dedicating myself to my summer work schedule, which means lots of working from home, writing, revising, translating, and a bit of course prep for the fall.

Father's Day is always a rough day for me. My dad didn't answer his phone or return my call. Nor did my mother. I want to say fuck em' but I still feel guilty. Like I didn't make enough effort even though I have no idea what else I could have done to at least establish contact.

We went to see Blue Man Group on Friday, then went to the after party. DH got to meet a Blue Man, and then he got white-girl wasted on 3 glasses of wine. I laughed.

Fathers Day to me is always like a huge relief now that my dad is dead, and I don't even feel bad about that, that's how crappy it was for me when he was alive.
I had a great weekend. I was off Friday although Baby Fuss was being a troll all day. Saturday was hot so we all played in the sprinkler and kiddie pool all afternoon. Sunday we went to the kiddie farm and Baby Fuss talked to a duck, which he does by saying "quack quack quack."
He has also started saying please, thank you, and excuse me all the time, and is so sweet about it. He said "excuse me" after H squeezed ketchup onto his plate and the ketchup bottle made that sort-of fart sound.

Cuuute!
The weekend was good. Mondays always make me a little sad and "what now"- ish. Mondays are by far my least productive days.
We had a good weekend, super productive. Saturday we moved mostly back into our bedroom now that the painters are done in there. We cleaned everything that went back in, and organized closets and dressers. I cleaned all the windows and sills, which were disgusting and long overdue. Then we did yardwork, hung out on the deck, ate dinner and listened to music and talked.
Yesterday we ran a bunch of errands and demolished our downstairs powder room so the wall guys can re-do all the walls, and we'll renovate the rest soon. I can't wait for it to be done, it's going to be awesome.
Thursday night DH and I went and saw a lecture in Philly. Friday night I was in Washington DC for a friend's engagement party. Saturday we had friends over. Sunday I was in the office from 2 AM - 4:30 AM then we went out for dinner.
I am tired. But I am also done with all of the stressful things in my life for the forseeable furture and so I am happy.
Sorry yesterday was a rough day, PS. You did everything you could. I know you know this, but sometimes it helps to hear it again.
My weekend was okay. Good dinners Saturday and Sunday evening, a nice day with my parents yesterday. Overall it was a pretty chill weekend, which I needed.
DH and I had a long talk last night and it was rough on both of us, but really good. We're talking about a lot of the deeper issues. He did tell me some things about myself that were hard to hear, so I'm trying to take time and process them instead of just reacting. I'm sure I told him some things about himself that were difficult for him to hear too.
Weekend was OK. It rained and stormed almost the whole time. Saturday was one of those days I was tearing my hair out with a stir crazy toddler running around the house. We had pizza with my in-laws that night though, was so nice to get out of the house.
Sunday we went to my parents' after I went to the gym. It was the first time I'd used the child care facilities for Toddler Malibu. She did OK, her biggest freakout was when I came back to pick her up and she couldn't figure out how to get out to me.
I'm over halfway done with the six-week long Lazyman Triathalon, so I'm happy about that.
Also, I'm pretty sure I ate about an entire box of cereal while sleeping last night. There were two empty boxes of Cheerios on the counter this morning that weren't there when we went to bed last night. They'd been half full. H didn't eat them, so I must have done it while sleeping. Hmmmm.
