I just ran my first 10 miler since May. It is what I consider to be very warm running weather (70s, 60-70% humidity during the course of the run, and full sun (remembering that I live in the high desert where the sun is insane and it is usually dry)). All in all, it wasn't too bad, but I was sweating like Fat Bastard's balls. My face burns from the salt and I have a SEVERE case of the stank.
And then I ran into my very handsome neighbor as I was talking the dogs out. With my stank and red, salty face. *sigh*
Also, I am super hungry now but my H is out of town so I have no one to get breakfast with.
I didn't run with my normal crew this morning because I had a 8:30am appointment. Apparently they put a curse on me because I fell (for the first time) and scraped my hand and then 20 minutes later I squirted water in my eye instead of my mouth (it was dark outside).

Ok, the falling is not funny but I will admit to chuckling a little that you squirted yourself in the eye.
I have a hard time not running.....big prob for me I can't take rest days....so I finally did today. I need a few more and I know my runs will improve but just ant do t
I hate nuun tablets
I applied to a local running store and heard the manager is a real scum bag. Hoping its not the case
More of a whine/vent. We have been house hunting for what seems like forever. Granted we are picky but we can't find anything. Well just found out 2 houses we were supposed to see today that had great potential went under contract last night. They had only been on the market 2 days!
I did calf raises on Thursday and hadn't done them in a while. I also did single leg raises with weights because my calves are different sizes after ACL surgery. Now my left calf hates me and I can barely walk

How was the run? Did you feel like you had more energy than you used to?

Yep, definitely more energy. The first 6 miles were pretty decent, last 4 got kind of ugly but I haven't done more than 7 since May (that I can recall...) and the freaking sun. It's like being in a damn microwave, I swear.

I just made 48 cupcakes for my son's birthday party. There is a large container of leftover dark chocolate buttercream in my fridge. This obviously means I need to bake more cupcakes next week so I can use the frosting.
What flavor cake should I make next? These would be eaten by adults, so anything goes.
My random: I'm pretty sure my legs are more sore from site seeing tours than they were after my first half marathon. I can't wait to start running again and get back in shape!!
My legs and back are so sore this morning I can barely walk. Of course, I'm going for a bike ride in a little bit. I'm aiming for 30 miles but have a feeling I'll wind up riding for an hour b/c I'm so sore and tired from yesterday's race.
I have been so exhausted the last few days. All of my runs have sucked. Just absolutely zero energy. I skipped my run yesterday because I started running & it just felt so damn difficult. I figured there was no point in being miserable for 6 miles well above my normal pace when my body was telling me to rest.
Anyway, I had a few theories. 1) I get a little sluggish (but never this sluggish) right around ovulation. 2) I've been training pretty hard lately, maybe too hard? 3) I've been slightly low on iron before. Not enough to be a big deal, but I've almost been turned away from giving blood, had to adjust my diet, etc. So... I skipped my run yesterday, I went to bed earlier than usual, I had a very iron dense dinner, & this morning I rocked 10 miles just below MP (AW: ran an 8:01). Yay & all that, but I don't know what did the trick. Iron? Extra day off? More sleep? Change in hormones? Oh well, week 6 of training sucked. On to week 7.

Pregnancy hormones are about to get me. Some of my family was supposed to come over today for dinner for my Dad's bday. My Dad called to say he can't come, then my sister said they don't want to come if my dad's not going to be there.. i could cry. lame.

That's a lame way for your sister to phrase that!
Go out to dinner instead with your husband and have a date night...

She didn't phrase it that way, but I know that is why. I don't blame them, it's an hr drive.. I've just been looking forward to hanging out all week, AND she had scrub pants for me.. and I REALLY need bigger scrub pants.
Oh well.. DH & I are going to clean out the office for P's nursery.. DH has been OOT all weekend, so it will be nice to just hang out w/ him. I'm just an even bigger cry baby these days.

That's a bummer about the scrub pants. I think it's pretty cool you were looking forward to the evening and you have a good relationship with your sister. I''m sorry it got cancelled. Maybe sometime this week or next weekend you can plan to gtg and get your pants and hang out for a bit.
You are growing a tiny human lady--you aren't a cry baby. You just like hanging out with your family!

Oh boo! I know how much you were looking forward to today. And I cried over a heart warming story on the news. DH- what's wrong? Me- that was just so nice *tears*.
I ran/walked 3 miles this morning in an effort to jump start labor. I'm not sure it worked. But it felt great. The weather was beautiful for an August morning in DC. It's just so mild. I'm hoping I can go again sometime either tomorrow or the next day.
