Ugh...dating is exhausting!
So, the first update: T and I were supposed to go hiking this weekend, but he got the job offer in Alaska on Friday-awesome! I think he was surprised he got it and decided to take the weekend to just think about things, which I get. We talked about grabbing dinner last night, but he forgot he had plans, so he canceled (I kinda gave him a hard time on that one as it went from possibly backpacking-->hiking-->dinner-->no plans). Balls in his court, but whatever.
Secondly...due to the fact that we're FB friends now, I noticed a familar name and remembered it's one of my good friends (E) good friends (A). (I know, confusing). I asked her about him...as I wanted the dish. She said that A and T kinda dated but A always is way more into the guy than they are into her, so it's hard to say if they even officially dated. He came around at his own convienience and nothing ever progressed physically than sleeping over at his place and dirty text messages (shocking as it took us WEEKS for us to sleep together, remember?) She gets the feeling that T totally dates around town.
So with that piece of information , which totally makes sense... I'm glad I was going into this one really cautiously. I really like the guy and I think this guy could be fun to have around, but I guess I won't count on much more as I don't think he wants much more.
Sorry the plans were canceled with the first date.
As for the second one, on one hand it is nice you were able to get feedback. On the flipside, try to find out the real truth yourself as everyone's pereceptions can be different. Do you know how long ago he "almost " dated your friend's friend? people do change or maybe it was something they tried and they were not the right fit for each other?

They dated back in the fall from what I know. And I know from my friends point of view, she feels sorry for guys that get into a relationship with her own friend as her friend just well...isnt' the best to get into relationships with. So, who knows really.
And yes, I'll see what happens and whatever the case, it's easy to pick myself up after this one because I didn't get so wrapped up in it. Though it sucks...I FINALLY found a guy that I like, have alot in common with, that I have no issues with (or just a few) AND have chemistry with and this happens. awesome luck. Oh well...
