If someone called you (twice) and you didn't see that they called because your phone was put away, what would you think if that person showed up at your house?
Keep in mind that you didn't see they called until they said "hey, did you get my voicemail?"
Also, you are not related to this person, nor do you consider this person family/a close friend.

No. You don't show up at my house unless you have tried every way to contact me. If it's important (and I mean someone had better be on their deathbed important) you should still try to e-mail, facebook, or call my H first.
But, I have to say, the "pop-in" can be a cultural thing. When we lived in rural Iowa, it was really common, especially with older people. I never got used to it. I need at least 10 minutes notice to kick the toys into the closets and spray some febreeze, people.
I have some neighbors that this wouldn't bother me with, because they're cool and wouldn't stay long. But for anyone who was out of walking distance, I would find that odd.

Hah, sorry guys!
We made dinner and then ate.
So, this person is a board member. I was out at an event earlier and left something there (on purpose). I told this person "Please leave my thing at our building, I will pick it up later this afternoon while I'm out running errands."
And then I came home, did a bunch of crap, then laid down for a nap. She called while I was napping and then showed up while I was still napping. She was "in the area" and decided to drop it off. It was not crucial that I get this thing back today. Which is why I told her I would pick it up later.

This has only happened to me once, but I was intentionally ignoring her calls/texts because I wasn't feeling well and didn't want to see anyone. She was not a close friend. She suddenly showed up at my door and I awkwardly let her in and we made small talk. I was not fit for company and was definitely all WTF in my head. There was definitely no emergency. After about 20 minutes she finally took the hint and left.
But yeah, I'd be weirded out and annoyed that she woke me up from my nap.
