We recently moved. My neighbor brought over a pound cake and toilet paper. It was perfect. The pound cake was great for late night snack and breakfast.

I'd bring what I'm good at making lol, so chocolate chip cookies in the spring and summer or pumpkin blondies in the fall or winter. I'm good at making cupcakes and cheesecake and things like that, but those are harder to drop off to someone's house.
i'm moving into a place that has a bunch of people who are older in it... due to a water heater accident (not my fault and the bank is covering the damages to my neighbor's ceiling) i think i'm going to bring her a plant to smooth things over. the neighbor's patio is covered in plants and so is her back porch, so i'm hoping she would love another... i didn't want to risk bringing her food and finding out she's diabetic or something and resents what i brought her.
They're newer. I am going to bring wine. I was going to make carrot cake cupcakes or brownies to go with, but will just give wine. Thanks for all the responses everyone!
They can bring whatever baked good they wanted but I wouldn't eat it. NEVER TAKE FOOD FROM STRANGERS!
What? People would never pour a little Benadryl and a pinch of meth in cookies.
OR WOULD THEY?
I only take baked goods from people with normal-acting, spoiled children, usually 3+ kids who smell like Mountain Fresh Tide or something. Those are the moms that probably wouldn't poison you.
I could handle Benadryl, maybe even a little meth, LOL. I couldn't handle not knowing if they washed their hands before cooking.
Besides, I don't want to know my neighbors or be chummy with them. We did that once and we could never get rid of the guy. We have a nodding acquaintance with our neighbors and I only speak with the guy across the street. I don't even know my neighbors' names.
Also, there are no children for 2-3 blocks in either direction. It's awesome. :Y:
