Tell me about factory stores

Specifically Banana Republic/Gap and J crew but I guess any of the other clothing companies as well. I see them mentioned a lot here and I guess I haven't really spent much time in any of them since I mainly go to the cosmetic outlet stores and the Le Creuset outlet when I have time to go to the outlet mall for a minute.

What's good there? Is it first quality stuff or do they have their own line? What kind of deals are there to be had?

I find stuff at Gap, BR & J Crew factory stores. I haven't had issues with quality. J Crew I usually find more afford items. The store is usually on sale. I bought a tshirt for $20 instead of $32 this past weekend.

The mentioned stores in your OP all have their own line. I find the quality to be cheaper at BR and Gap; but then again, I think quality in the regular stores has dropped in the past year or so also.

The prices, especially JCrew are less than regular stores; but they also all have great sales/coupons.

For J Crew Factory, generally prices are cheapest online IMO bc of the numerous sale codes they send out.

Ok, thanks y'all. I should look to see about signing up for emails and I'll have to check them out next time I go, which will definitely NOT be this weekend (tax free weekend), haha. Even I can't handle the madness.
