Yeah...just one more thing wrong with this studio project. lol
I guess the the door guy missed the part on the order where it said that the the door was supposed to be flat, not paneled. If I had wanted paneled, we would have picked up the cheap door from HD and had it installed a long time ago. It is on its way back to the door guy now.
I guess the upside is that a few more days to wait for the door won't hold up work, since the window order delay is single-handedly doing that.
The GC and I had a nice visit this morning, and we talked about what projects can be done while we wait on the window. I know he keeps trying to save us money, and I appreciate it, but I am tired of waiting for the studio work to be done to have other things done on the main house, and I wish he and everyone else would quit questioning our sanity.lol
I told the GC that we wanted to have the insulation done on the main house so that we could get the drywall in the hall and living room done. He tried to get me to wait because it would add to the cost compared to having it done at the same time as the studio. Since we are having the insulation blown in, we wanted to wait on the drywall 'just in case' there was a problem, (not anticipating any, just trying to avoid the problems that could come up), but we are dying to get the drywall done so that we can paint/decorate/finish the space. He finally seemed to understand when I told him that we just want to have one space that we can enjoy and relax in, and 4-6 weeks more of living like this while waiting for the window, was just too long to wait. Especially if the cost difference was relatively low (which it is)....sometimes it is worth it for quality of life/sanity.
