We have a huge window in our eat in kitchen that gets a ton of sun in the afternoon and it heats up the entire room.
I think cellular shades are supposed to be the best at keeping heat out/cool in, right?
We had Levolor Double Cell at our previous house that we liked really well, but they were outside mounted and I was hoping to do inside mount here since we have the option.
The depth of the frame to the window is only 1 1/4" though and I'm seeing Bali is stating a 1 7/8" minimum for inside mount for the blind to be flush, and Levolor is stating 1 1/2 - does anyone have these brand cell shades that can verify this?
Has anyone done inside mount and not had the blinds flush with the outside of the frame (I feel like this would be weird, but maybe it's not?)?
I did an inside mount at our old house even though there wasn't technically enough room. The top of the mounting stuck out a little from the frame but it didn't look weird (at least I didn't think so). You just need to make sure that you have enough frame to screw in the actual mounting hardware.
