So today I had a check up, thinking I was getting an internal. I arrived to discover that was incorrect, and that my doctor/midwives don't do internals because they basically think they aren't helpful so early, and also to minimize risk of infection. They will do one at the very end 38-39 weeks. So no clue if I'm dilated or anything fun yet. They DID test for strep B so FX I don't have that.
Besides learning that info, I learned that all of my appts will be with midwives from now on. They like patients to meet as many of the midwives as possible so you can know them before delivery.
I also learned that their records still show me with an EDD of Sept 8th, holding firm, and I measured at 35 weeks and 1 day exactly today, so my personal EDD of Sept 13th (based on a dating ultrasound) is "wrong". I suspect I will go a few days past the 8th, but the good news is that they won't let me go more than 7 days past due, and if their records show the 8th, and all along I've been saying the 13th, it won't feel so overdue if they had to induce on the 15th, if that makes sense.
Best thing I learned today: babywine is in position! Ready for action! She is head down, facing the correct direction, and the odds of her moving from this position are minuscule according to the midwife. My amnio fluid looked good too. Midwife suspects baby will make her way further into position in a couple weeks. She is a planner just like her momma, lol I'm so proud guys!
Awesome! Why do you think that you will go later than your date? Did I miss something or are you just assuming that since she is your first? Just curious?

Because it's my first, because I'm trying to prepare for the worst haha.
At my very first appt. she was measuring 5 days later than when my LMP would have suggested, but I usually ovulated on CD14/15, so it would've been late implantation I guess, so I found that sorta interesting. She's been caught up growth-wise for every appt after that, but still, I didn't get a strong bfp til a few days after my expected period, so that went in line with my EDD being the 13th not the 8th. So for my own records, I keep saying the 13th. Which means instead of being 35 weeks and some change, my ticker reflects a few days behind that.
We'll see! Lately however when someone asks when I'm due I just kind of wave my hands around and go "the week of the 8th" or "whenever she shows her face!"
I'm hopeful she's closer to their predictions than mine, obviously. Once I pack my bag and wash her clothes, I'll be ready for her!
(I always tell people I'm due beginning of October - reduces the opp for them to start bugging me with "any news yet?" Type questions if I go overdue...)

Oh, that makes sense. You are so good with knowing your dates I hope she comes when they predict too. My first came at 38 weeks so you just never know. I am hoping this one follows her big bro and realizes out is better than in
