J's appetite has been really limited the last few days because his molars are bothering him so much. It's gotten to the point where I don't care what he is eating as long as something is getting into his stomach.
So today for lunch I desperately opened a can of Chef Boyardee ravioli for him. He ate maybe 2 full pieces of ravioli before he started throwing it so I started eating the rest. As I was nearly finished the bowl I see some random piece of black stuff. I have no idea what it was. It was small and I pulled it out to inspect it but, hello, I'm not the Health Dept. so I don't even know what im looking for. H was like "ok, so don't eat it". But I was in a panicky tailspin of "zomg what if it was a teeny piece of mouse poop! I don't know how clean the Chef Boyardee factory is!"

Admittedly, I'm a little crazy. I told H if either of us vomit we are going straight to the doctor, to which he rolled his eyes. Ugh. Come on, anyone remember the Friends episode where Phoebe found a thumb in her soda? Am I the only one who worries about things like this?
I try not to think about it. The FDA allows a certain amount of stuff like insect parts and rodent hair in food because it is pretty much unavoidable.
That said, I'm sure the thing you found was just some nasty burned piece of ravioli!
And H, who has legit OCD so he's a complete germophobe, was like "dude, you need to relax and go have some wine". He also said it was probably a piece of burnt something. I told him we are never buying that shit again.
I bet it was burnt ravioli too. But I hear you about offering anything they'll eat lately. We're in the same molar-cutting non-eating boat plus just got warned at G's 15 month pedi visit that she's been falling off her growth curve. Sigh. Cheese and butter are the only two 100% reliables. But then I have to push the fruit so she doesn't get stopped up.

We went to the mall yesterday and J, who is normally very happy and well-behaved, cried the whole time we were in the Disney store and drooled all over H. Then for lunch we got him a chicken bowl from Chipotle because it's the kind of thing that is a sure thing he will eat. Nope. Then we bought him fries and gravy just so he'd get something in his stomach. That was a no go as well. He ate half a handful of goldfish crackers and then passed out in the stroller. All he ate yesterday was goldfish, watermelon, and a yogurt.
Poor kiddo he sounds miserable. I hope those molars break through soon. I bet the watermelon felt good. Ice cream and juice popsicles have also been popular here, and a mound of shredded "mexi cheese" is her old stand-by. I would've tried fries too -- those are usually one of G's favorites. Hang in there! We'll get through this!

He wants to nurse all the time. Even when he's hopped up on Tylenol. We tried ice cream the other night and it was a no. A lot of the time he won't even give things a try. The thing is that 2 of the 4 molars have popped through but they aren't all the way through. And the ones that haven't popped the gums are so swollen. I don't like to constantly medicate him but he is just miserable. Are any of G's through yet? I feel like this is taking forever.

Nursing all the time was my weekend too, day and night. And kicking me bc she's uncomfortable. She also tends to get diaper rash when she's teething.
One is almost through and one is really swollen. No sign of the other two yet. At least as best I could check. I tried sticking a finger in her mouth and she bit down on it really hard -- sometimes she lets me massage her gums when she's teething but it must be too uncomfortable now. She's been a very slow on-again off-again teether so I have no idea what to expect. Friday and Saturday nights were miserably sleepless for both of us. Saturday I actually gave Tylenol at 5am then we both slept until 7:30am. Sunday night I gave Tylenol before bed and she seemed to do better, though still restless after midnight. Last night we both slept a little better -- I have no idea what that means.
