H and I have been trying to decide if a Costco membership is worth it to us. I get excited about things like this and my 4 pounds of organic broccoli, but I don't know if we'd really save enough overall.
Ha! I'm part of a research study for Costco on Thursday. They're going to follow me around and take notes on my shopping habits, etc. I was going to mention the lack of baby and toddler food, but now I might not need to.
Does Costco have a lot of organic produce and meats?
A lot of the produce is. I have no idea about the meat. Many of the things just on the shelves there are also organic (or at the least the same things one can but at WF, at least here).

We buy organic chicken there. I'm not sure about red meat, since we don't really eat that. I'll have to look next time I'm there! We also buy organic milk there, organic hummus, organic eggs, etc. I also buy the Kirkland (Costco) brand turkey burgers, which aren't organic, I don't think, but are super delicious.

Ooh, this sounds fun! Report back. I definitely want to hear about it!

They said it'd only take as long as my standard trip, which is usually 15 minutes. When I'm all done, they give me a $75 gift card. I can handle that!

I think it depends on your market/area and the demand for natural and organic foods. The Costco in Seattle seems to have the most organics. The bay area ones have a lot. Ours in San Diego have a good amount - organic eggs (they're good and we go through all 3 dozen of them before they expire, shockingly!), organic turkey, organic chicken (we buy both there) - whole, breasts and thighs. I've never seen organic beef there before but they sometimes have the better quality bacon like niman ranch, etc. They have dubliner cheese and kerrygold butter, which are grass fed and high quality. Ours has some organic staples like coffee, quinoa, brown rice, juices, frozen veggies/fruit etc. Not a lot of fresh org. veggies and fruit though. Every other time I go there they might have something but it's not reliable.
Sammmme! I need to go in the next few days so I hope they'll have these at my Costco! I'm also going to start stalking their kids clothes section in hopes of finding the Hanna Andersson PJs again.

How fun! Dude, I want to do this! How did you make this happen?
Check to see if there are any market research companies near you. I get called several times a year for random things. This is the least I've gotten paid, and the first time it wasn't just a visa gift card.
