I recently bought some cotton undies during the panty raid sale. I washed them all before wearing (cold water) and dried; I wore one pair yesterday for the first time and a few hours after putting them on, I used the restroom and noticed not one, but TWO holes in two different locations on seams. WTF.
If it were a shirt or something, I'd take it back and exchange...but it seems strange/weird/akward to do that with underwear.

I loved their cotton panties for a long time, but I've had that happen to more than one pair in the past couple of years. It's why I firmly believe that their stuff is crap and will stay away from them even if it's free. I didn't want to bring back used underwear either. I've just stopped buying everything from them. I just get cotton panties from The Rack now for about the same price.
I will never buy there again for every day crap. I've noticed this too and a pair of yoga pants I was gifted ripped at the side seam after 5 washes! And i'm a diligent washer like you!
I've had bad experiences with their bras as well (maybe I'm in the minority), the wires keep poking their way out of the stitching on the band and jabbing me in the ribs. I threw them all away and bought some from Target (don't hate, I actually really like them) and Macy's.

If the wires went through it means they sized you incorrectly. I just got 5 new Panache bras from Zulily for $70 shipped. I've been shopping that site entirely too much for someone without kids!
Yeah I don't trust those people there -- I've been sized there twice and then sized somewhere else and they were WAY off.
The second time I asked to be sized and the lady had to grab someone else because "she wasn't sure". WTF?! You work at VS and it's simple MATHEMATICS.
But, math is HARD! Especially simple mathematics. I always get rid of singles and will give a cashier $22 for a $7 sale to get three fives or a ten and a five. I can not count the amount of times they have tried to hand the singles back or asked another cashier what I was doing.
I wore their VS and PINK cotton undies for years as in since college and recently made the switch over to Soma's vanishing edge undies. I couldn't be happier. The Soma's stay in place and do not ride up. The quality if also better and hopefully will hold up well.

Bummer!
Regarding the underwire poking through, a friend told me that if you take them back to VS, no matter how old they are or whether or not you have a receipt, they'll exchange it for free. No idea if this is true at all VS stores.
On a similar note I've been really unimpressed with their "one size fits all" lacie thongs, they are HUGE. I'm 5'5" and 135lbs so I'm by no means itty bitty and the part that's actually up your butt...gets huge over the course of the day and starts sagging.

I have issues with the Lacie being too big and I normally wear a medium. It's like way too big.
To OP, I would wash and take back. I took a bra that was super old that the strap broke on and they exchanged without receipt no problem. I was out shopping when it happened and just walked in. Obviously they will see by the receipt not very old or abused.

I've stopped buying undies from VS and now buy them from Soma. As for bra fittings, their staff is trained to size you to what they have in the store not the correct size you are supposed to wear. They are all about sales, not correct sizing.

I stopped buying underwear from VS a few years ago. I just felt like the cuts were getting smaller and smaller, even though my size wasn't changing. They just became uncomfortable. And, they don't last long, like you're experiencing. Bras have been hit or miss for me.
