I have been experiencing some extreme fatigue the last couple of days. I am really struggling to get through my runs. I have no idea why. I am getting plenty of sleep, and eating enough (I think). It is hard to even run three miles. I know they say that the first mile is always the hardest but it is like I cant catch my breath and my legs just want to stop. I am thinking maybe thyroid? I don't really know what other symptoms come with that though. This is a bummer and real buzz kill with starting marathon training. Any other ideas on what could possibly be the culprit? Has anyone else experienced this?

I would take a couple days off and see how you feel. Sometimes I just randomly am tired without feeling like I have changed anything - bodies are weird. If you're still tired by the end of the week, then I'd look at going to the doctor.
Could you be pregnant? Are you getting enough water?
I hope I'm not pregnant. We aren't TTC until next month. But I'm pretty sure I'm not, based on current cycle. Yes on the water almost 100 oz daily. I think I'm going to schedule a drs appt for next week
When was the last time you took a rest week? I get fatigued if I don't rest for 1 week every 6-8 weeks. I also get extremely tired (sleeping disease is what I call it) right before I get my period.
I'd venture to guess just general fatigue, low vitamins of some kind (D, B12, Iron) over thyroid. A few tough slow runs isn't indicative of a chronic condition like that.

I admit I was extremely lazy before training started so my last rest week was about two weeks ago lol

I'm sure you are right. I am currently taking some prenatal vitamins and was just considering taking an additional B6 to see if that helps.
