Logan's 15 month stats are 22.2 lbs, and 31 inches. I thought the pedi might be concerned about his lack of weight gain, since he had mentioned it at our 12 month, but he said that it was ok as long as he's not losing.
We started talking about his verbalizations and he was concerned that Logan stopped babbling a while ago and communicates almost exclusively in squeaks and screeches. Plus he doesn't really make any attempts to imitate us. He said it sounds like it could be Aphasia. So, we got a referral for a hearing test and an EI evaluation for his speech. Of course a quick Google search brings up all kinds of scary things. Hair pats are welcome.
We got the nurse I don't care for this time, and after waiting forever for her to come back and do his shots, she does the first two then takes her time wiping up blood droplets and fussing with bandaids before she does the third one. All while my kid is screaming. It's bad enough I have to hold his arms down while he's screaming, she could at least try and be quick about it.

We are in the process of getting speech evals, too. We meet with a private SLP tomorrow and have his EI eval next week. DS doesn't have any words at 16 months, and he also doesn't imitate our words or babble many consonant sounds.
Google searches are terrifying. I know it's easy to tell you not to do it, but try not to google too much. I hope your evaluation gets scheduled soon so that you can start getting services if he qualifies.
Feel free to ask me any questions or vent. G will start speech in a week and has been getting other services for several months.
Good luck with the EI referral! Knowing there might be an issue is scary, but by being proactive and finding out right away, you are doing everything you can for him. Keep us updated!
