Eh. S'ok. I can use the afternoon to get stuff put together for Burning Man. It's preferable to being at work at any rate.
Are you taking your D to burning man?
Nope. She's spending the week with my mom.
My feeling on my child at Burning Man (and there are parents who make it a family trip) is that she can go when she can 1) get there herself and 2) make appropriate decisions in that sort of environment.
Also - it's hard enough taking care of my own needs while I'm there much less a tiny person who can't communicate.

yeah I was just wondering I wouldn't take anyone that young either

There is a camp called Kidville that caters to the families that choose to bring their kids. In general people are really respectful of the kids and the like. A couple of years ago there was a group camped next to us with some feral French kids running about like lunatics. Other than that experience I haven't seen anything bad with kids involved. I see this as my vacation alone with H. Which we desperately need.

yeah, I know they have a camp...its just such a crazy scene, and to have to worry about your children takes the fun out of it...it would for me. and if its really hot...eww

H and I talked about it once. If we lived in Reno and could do a day trip we might bring her, but not for the week we camp out there.
I've been monitoring the weather. So far it's looking pretty gorgeous!
