My BFF is doing the Whistler Ironman in a few weeks. It's her first and I'm SUPER proud of her. She got me a care package for my first marathon, so I'd like to put together a little something for her. I know that training for an Ironman means you're pretty regimented on what you eat/fuel/clothing, etc. Anyone have any suggestions on what I can put together? I'm on a strict budget and I will have to mail it, so need to keep that in mind.
lucky bike water bottle? nail polish? soft comfy things or tasty indulgences for afterwards (whenever she feels ready for it)?
Any suggestions? Not sure what kind of bike water holder she has (is there a standard size?)
She'll probably be using whatever she has been using. Nothing new in race day, even water bottles!! But it's always nice to get more!! So get whatever you think she might like!
If you are on a budget, a massage might be out of the question. How about some of her favorite chocolate bars, energy bars, Gu, etc.? Bike water bottles come in 2-3 standard sizes. Even if she doesn't use it on race day, she can use it afterwards or in training. Does she have a favorite brand of running socks?

You could do a recovery kit. We did this for some friends when they did IM TX. We did Advil, Epsom salts, lotion, some other bath soak stuff, Chapstick, fancy chocolate bars, fuzzy socks, a shot glass and a large bottle of tequila.
