Ha, most of those I relate to. I worked mostly at restaurants and bars right at Wall Street. I had a completely different tipping experience than the author. The Wall Street guys and gals were ahhhmaaazinggg. They left insane tips...and they were really insane when it was the company credit card paying. I loved working down there. Were some of them jerkfaces? Oh yea, but I didn't give a shit. I usually only had a problem with tourists from other countries not tipping because it wasn't customary in theirs.
I'm not a fan of the tone. It makes the bartenders sound a little snobby and judgy. I didn't work in a big city though. I hated when people told me to smile though.
