My family dropped me off and went to the grocery store. So I rode 22 miles in the rain. Then they came and picked up my bike and I ran the 5 miles home. Massive brick workout for me but gave me a lot of confidence for the olympic tri in five weeks.

Friday: 7 miles Saturday: 18 miles. It felt surprisingly good. Saturday afternoon: Movie and buttered popcorn! Saturday night: grilling out Sunday: Rest and dinner date night
Just finished my second ever 10 mile run. My first Half is exactly four weeks from today! Oy vey!!! The run went better than last weekend's 10 miler. I hydrated and ate better yesterday and also took a nuun water before the run and during the run. Overall it was a good run. It was hotter and more humid today so my time was slower but that's ok!
Making buffalo chicken dip tonight for the Steeler's preseason game! Really it's just an excuse to make my favorite dip!!
F: 7 glorious miles. Went out an hour later than usual, so that helped with the heat, & refused to look at my Garmin. First really fun run in a long time. S: Mostly rest. A little core. S: 16 miles
My friend is training for a half, so I ran with her this morning. I got to 4.19 (my longest distance so far!), then let her go on her own. I got bored walking to the car, so ran another .75, then waited for my friend to come back. I ran her final .75 with her! That was really fun. We both extended our distances today; go us!
F: tried to go to bodypump but was 15 min late for the 30 min. class because i was busy making oreo truffles and s'mores bars. Ate/drank my heart out at our kickball team's party. I can't resist a good cookout/finger-food-potluck. Or anything containing avocado. Oy vei!
S: H and I took a walk to the mailbox and back - about 2 mi roundtrip. Volunteered at Microfestivus pouring beers and then indulged ourselves. Note: the "volunteer" stickers ensure very generous pours. Once H is sober we are meeting friends for dinner at....an ale house!
S: I will probably flip out if I don't make some time to work out. Family is coming to visit tomorrow night so prob another dinner out. They always want Carabbas. Gag.
'Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body. But rather, to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, screaming 'Woohoo! What a ride!' So every day is a holiday and every meal a feast."

F: row machine, ski machine, recumbent bike; PT exercises S: 30 min run/walk intervals; PT exercises; recaulked the shower/sink and spray painted the light S: The plan is to: 30 min cycle; yoga; legs and abs; recaulk the other shower and the toilets and the rest of the sinks (prepping the house to sell is NOT fun)
Treat weekend! This weekend is 2 weeks of no sweets so I get to treat myself and I think I worked hard enough today! B: cranberry orange scone at Starbucks and tonight is a Ghirardelli turtle brownie with milk.
Friday: unplanned rest day Saturday: none, housework day Sunday: went for a hike with a friend in the morning, was actually a pretty good workout my thighs are screaming at me right now.
F: rest S: 4 mile run (first long run in the training program) and then a 2.71 mile walk with my mom. Sat night: grilling out and Steelers pre season game S: Going to lift weights or yoga DVD
