Does anyone know?? I mean, H&M is not a store I typically frequent...I like BR, Gap, ON, Nordstrom etc. But every now and then I've found cute tops or something there, and of course it never lasts too long, but it def serves its purpose, and it's always on the cheap. The website has some cute things...
They've had H&M baby in.Europe for many many years and everyone I know buys there. It's very good price/quality wise. Sure, more expensive clothes will last longer, but you really don't need to ise a 0-3month shirt for 4 years and it's good enough quality to last well through the time it fits and still hand it down for second use.
I got a couple of h&m hand me downs that have been well used and are still very nice.
I second what Cheesecake said. I've loads of stuff from H&M for dd and I still go there even though she's out of baby sizes. I was in the store yesterday and they have some really, really cute things at the moment. Had to stop myself getting anything!! Fabrics are usually good - soft, robust, wash well.
Actually, I saw that very dress and wanted to get the pale blue with dots one but no point seeing as dd is out of those sizes and we're team green. And couldn't even get it as a gift as everyone is having boys that we know.
I got a lovely dress for dd in size 4-6mths and I loved it so much I went back and got the same in 18-24mths for the following year!
I have H&M clothes for myself as well as some for the baby. Mine have held up very well, and even though the baby's haven't been worn they seem like great quality, definitely better than the other cheaper stores we have (Carter's, Target, ON).
I buy H&M for my toddler all the time. Everything I've bought is all cotton. It isn't like you need it to hold up well since they'll outgrown or stain it before it dies.
Around here, consignment stores are a good source for less expensive good quality baby stuff. People get shower gifts that never fit the kid in the right season. They'll be on the rack with the janie and jack price tags still attached (as well as the consignment store tag, of course).
