Stuff like the diaper cream and other little medicine things, and batteries, I didn't put on my registry, only because it was small stuff that I didn't see people getting.
For clothes, I put some cute things on it, but really, people just end up going to the store and buying what they think is cute, so I didn't really put any clothes on it.
What about a stroller, changing pad, diaper bag (unless that travel diapering kit was it)? Unless these are things you already got, don't mind me. Looks like a good registry though!
Any reason you have two thermometers on your list?
I haven't decided which one i should have. The ear one or the forehead swipe one. Which one should I pick?
We actually got a rectal one since it *supposedly* gives the most accurate temps. However, there was a thread here recently and it looks like there are a lot of different opinions (even among professionals) about which is best. If choosing between the two, I'd go with the forehead swipe one - but that's my highly non-professional opinion and just based on internet research. I do plan to ask tomorrow when we interview a pediatrician.
Plus, the American Red Cross kit should have a thermometer in it that you can use rectally or orally.
Oh yes. I just checked, they have the ear thermometer! I might as well keep the forehead swipe one and remove the ear one from the list.
A friend was just raving about the forehead swipe one. I didn't even know it existed!
I don't mind the smaller items, because they will be add on gifts for sure. Like I got my friend a bunch of the swaddlers she registered for, plus a little toy she liked as well to sort of complete the gift.
I would probably not register for batteries because I find it a bit odd, but hey, whatever! :-)
I agree with a pp that that's a lot of clothes to register for, but no harm in listing whatever you want on there, at the very least it may inspire someone who wants to buy you clothes. Just know that when it comes to clothes, people seem to do whatever the hell they please. Be ready to do some exchanges if you're picky like me!
Those kits like the American Red Cross one are not good quality. You're better off registering for better stuff separately.
Ditto that you have tons of clothes and crib sheets! People will get you clothes even if you don't have them on there, so I would take a bunch off, and narrow down your sheets a little. You don't really need that many sheets anyway.
Oh, one more thing. I don't think I saw it on your list but you'll want the twig or flower accessory with the Grass drying rack. It gives you a place for all the small bottle parts

I have a question. When is it too early to register? I would be afraid that the things I registered for would be gone or discontinued by the time my shower rolled around. I am not doing it yet, but was just curious.

i started over a month ago, and so far only the type of amber necklace i put on there has gone out of stock. i check it regularly though, just to stare and daydream about her using all of it.
I really really want to start. We find out what it is on Fri. and I know that I will want to start registering as soon as we leave the ultrasound.
A lot of people say this too. I suppose I will keep some plain onesies, especially the long sleeved ones.
On the opposite side of the spectrum, I got very few clothes (except from my mother who went a bit nuts at a Janie and Jack sale) but got all of the gear I'd registered for. You never know.
Ditto publius. We got all our big stuff at our shower, plus lots of blankets, and no clothes.
