I'm a teacher and have enjoyed a lovely summer off. However, my body forgets how to act now that I'm back to work. Got up earlier than I have all summer and promptly threw up. Had heartburn and swollen feet all day during our staff meeting. Kids don't even start til next week and I'm already complaining! I'm a kindergarten Sped teacher and I am not even on my feet all day. Kuddos to those who are classroom teachers or have other jobs requiring you to be on your feet all day.
I know I'll be excited to see my kiddos, but the next 6 weeks are going to be LONG.
Ugh, i can commiserate! We started back up last week (I'm 31 weeks, I think). I'm not on my feet all day either (librarian here), but the running around and the teaching that I do is exhausting. It was a brutal shock to my body. I suddenly feel so exhausted and now I have back pain at the end of every day. I keep wondering if it's going back to work or entering the last ten weeks that is causing the new badness. I felt so great before.

I cannot imagine working with any of my students with how I am feeling right about now, (omg, it'd be hilarious trying to teach a dance class) so big hugs to you ladies that have to!
I've been sleeping all week since finding out I was pregnant.. and basically doing not much else. Went in to work today to start trying to get ready and damn, exhausted! We're not even telling people yet so people are really confused by how tired I am when I should be so refreshed.
That's gotta be hard. I told two of my coworkers almost immediately but not everyone until 12 weeks. It was hard not just tell everyone so they would have more pity for me....

I just can't imagine. H is a teacher but he's not the pregnant one so I'd imagine it would be 10 times worse if I was a teacher. Plus, in NYC the school year starts a few days after Labor Day so I'd only be working a couple of weeks, max!
We go back after Labor Day and I will be 30 weeks. I am dreading it. My classroom is not air conditioned and will seriously be 100+. Not pregnancy friendly.

Yeah, this is my life. I go back next week and I can't imagine meeting my students at 35 weeks. I really don't know how I am going to manage. Seven weeks seems so LONG!
