Okay, so I know it is normal for a baby to kick you in the rib area and for it to hurt. I had an ultrasound yesterday and the baby's feet are definitely in that area so it makes sense. However, I am in a lot of pain. I can feel her kick the area, and that is a sudden pain but I seem to ALWAYS have pain in this area now. It hurts so bad to sit that I have to stand up or lye down, constantly. If I have to sit down it hurts so bad I get the cold sweats, I get lightheaded, and my hearing goes all funny and I have a hard time breathing. Is this normal? I pulled my rectus abdominus muscle in September which is in the same area, but that pain was a little different. This feels like there is a ball of something about an inch to the left of my ribcage that pushes on everything when I sit down. The pain is not severe, mostly annoying but I hate that it makes me want to pass out, which is not usual for me.

Hmmmm. I'd call the dr/advice nurse just to get feedback. Maybe there's a stretch you can do, or a suggestion they'll have to ease the pain/dizziness.
Also, depending on which side of your rib cage it is, maybe baby is kicking some specific organ and you can try and get her to move her feet to the other side or something??
