LOL I just got a bill in the mail from my doctor's office from July 2012 saying I owe 90 bucks for my visit from my car accident because the other driver's insurance won't pay. The accident the other person caused. The accident their insurance agent told me I'd have all medical bills from covered (and I signed a document stating that bills AFTER August 1, 2012 wouldn't be covered, but this is dated July 18).
This can't be real life. This is 13 months later. OMG! And the insurance agent from that company that I had to deal with was a royal idiot.
I'm assuming I should start with her insurance company as opposed to my doctor's office?

Should I talk to MY car insurance company or hers? Hers is the one that is supposed to be paying because she was found at fault. And as far as I know, they paid the ER visit, as well as the x-ray bill from the ER (this bill is from the follow-up office visit to my PCP). I didn't really want to file it with my insurance company because I don't want my rates going up.
I also am going to talk to the billing person from my doctor's office because I have no idea why they are just now taking care of this bill a year later.

I got a collections notice THREE YEARS after my car wreck for a bill I had never recieved and that should have gone through their insurance. However, they'd already cut and run so I was basically out the couple hundred bucks. But I did get them to remove it from my credit report, as they had no record of ever sending me a bill (because they didn't).
Insurance companies are a pain in the ass. I feel your rage. Sorry you're dealing with this.
