While I was blowing drying my hair this morning I saw velcro rollers in my drawer I had completely forgotten about. So I figured I would give them a try. What, if anything, did you use to secure them in your hair? I tried bobby pins, but they still fell out as I continued to get ready. I do like what I managed to get out of them though, I just think they could be better.
I was afraid that was going to be your answer. I have longer hair and there is just too much weight I think even though it's fine. Boo! Thanks though I'll look around and see if I can find something to work.
I just started using Velcro rollers and have found that bobby pins work for me. I just have to make sure I put the pin at the base so it actually connects with the roller and my scalp. If I put it anywhere else (ex: top of roller) it will fall right out. I have long thick hair and this works for me. HTH!
Thanks girls! I'll try bobby pinning closer to the scalp first (I didn't do that) but otherwise Bimbi those croc clips were what I was imagining working in my head. Thanks!
A related question: When I use velcro rollers, my very top curl gets kind of a kink and a flat spot at the crown. Any ideas on how to prevent this? Smaller roller? Clips? I think the weight of the curler causes it to move around.
