I asked this on the high risk board on the other site but I thought I'd give it a shot here. I had a carbier breakfast than normal this morning, though still within the range they recommended. They told me to test my blood between 1 to 2 hours after my meal. At 1 hour and 20 minutes I tested at 122. 15 minutes later at 1 hour 35 minutes it was down to 113. Should I be concerned or should that 122 not really worry me because I still hadn't made the 2 hour mark?
I'm only a week into this so it's been a learning experience and that has been my first reading above 120.. I know my numbers aren't high in the grand scheme of things and I'm not necessarily concerned about this one bad reading. I just want to know if I should cut it out with the whole wheat toast in the am and just stick to protein only? Or if I'm still ok given the numbers dropped within the 2 hour range.

I think you're fine because it was within range with a half an hour to go before the 2 hours was up.
Its interesting that they told you to test anywhere between 1 and 2 hours. I would think that would make results confusing. Of course you'll get different numbers at 1 hr vs. 2 hrs. I would choose a time to test (I was told 2 hours after I take my first bite) and try to stay consistent with that.

I wouldn't cut out the toast with those numbers.
I was hoping you'd chime in! Thank you!
I will clarify with my nutritionist and my high risk OB to see what they prefer with regards to testing times tomorrow. I wouldn't at all mind a fixed time to test, it would help me feel like there's a definitive pattern, I guess.
