Has anyone done a mud run? What shoes should I wear?
The full course is 6km, but there are 18 obstacles, so it looks like the longest one would be running at a time is < 1km. Here's the race info: mudhero.com/FindanEvent/EventToronto.aspx
Anywho, H wants to get Vibrams, because "that's what the other guys have" but I'm hesitant to make that switch. I was sort of thinking of wearing my old/current running shoes and then getting a new pair for after? Or are something like a trail shoe better? Or am I just over thinking this??
I like the idea of using old shoes because it means I get new shoes. I've been running/walking in the same shoes for 5 years, and while they probably don't have all that many miles on them because me + running =/= BFF's, they're probably why my knees have been sore since we started running again a few weeks ago.
