From what I've read, lotions etc don't do much of anything to prevent stretch marks...it's more of a genetic roll of the dice. That being said, I started putting lotion on my belly once it started to feel itchy so around 25 weeks? I didn't use any special lotion though, just whatever I put on the rest of my body, and FWIW I ended up with no stretch marks (neither did my mom, so maybe the genetic thing is true?)

I hear this is down to genetics, but I def lotion up because staying supple can't hurt things! Plus I always lotion my whole body after a shower anyways. I started using an overnight cream very early in my first trimester though (like 8 weeks??), in addition to the regular lather after a shower

I don't really use lotion ever (I live in a very humid climate and never really get dry skin), including on my belly, and was complimented on still being stretch mark free by an ultrasound tech the other day.

I started a couple of weeks ago with the Palmers. I know they say its genetics...but I figured keeping my stomach nice and smooth with lotion cant hurt anything.
I dont know about anyone else, but ever since about 9weeks, my stomach has a thin layer of "peach fuzz" hair on it. Itsnot dark hair, just thin blonde hairs. Never had this before.
I'm a lotion addict anyway...right now I'm just using regular lightweight moisturizer since it's warm out, but I'm sure I'll be busting out the heavy duty stuff this winter, which will coincide perfectly with when my belly starts really getting big.
I have the peach fuzz too! I started with lotion probably around 14 weeks. I just put it on right after my shower. So far no stretch marks, but I know I have a ways to go yet.

I started using Palmer's once a day around 12 weeks. I use it twice a day now and I'm 26 weeks. I'm not religious about it tho. It helps reduce the itchy feeling if nothing else. I'm stretchmark free for now...
I didn't get any stretch marks on my belly, but did on my hips/butt/boobs. So if you're in the camp that believes oil/lotion helps, don't forget to use it all over, not just on your belly. If you do get stretch marks, there's hope! My son was born in September and by February my purple stretch marks had faded to the point that I don't even notice them anymore. (And I didn't use anything on them post-delivery.)
I don't use anything except regular lotion after a shower when I remember. I got ones on my hip around 30 weeks, and a few weeks ago a lot on my belly.
I mean to, but just forget.
My mom never really had them and my sister didn't get them until 37 weeks
