After lurking for a couple weeks, it's time to introduce myself. I am 9w2d. H & I are patiently awaiting our second u/s at the end of the month. Our first was at 6w1d and we saw a strong little heartbeat
My EDD is March 17ish.
My question is when did you all let HR know about your pregnancy? I know I have to inform them, but how early is too early?
Oh, and I'm a huge football fan. I'm way too excited that its football season!
Congrats! If you don't need to tell them (i.e. you can't do apart of your job because you are pregnant, etc.) or it's becoming obvious because you have bad m/s then it's really up to you. I told a few people at work at 12 weeks.
Thanks ladies! I'm a manager and the other manager I work with knows. He picked up right away. I'm thinking after our next u/s I'll let HR know. I actually do a lot of moving of displays and moving boxes. I've been delegating that to people who work for me I think they think I've become lazy

Congrats! And as well all were reminded in blindys thread, don't tell anyone anything until you're ready for the world to know. Because people have bad manners, and cannot keep secrets. Even HR people who can technically get into big trouble. They're human too!

Congrats!
I told my boss and our VP (both of whom I am very close with) on Monday when I was spotting and needed to go to the doc without prior notice. I didn't feel like coming up with some excuse and them finding out later that I lied about where I was going. They know I don't want anyone else to know until I hit 3 months and I know they will keep it that way. Had I not had the spotting issue, I would have told them at 3 months as well.
Hi and congrats! You're just a few weeks ahead of me :-)
We don't really have HR, but I told my boss right away. I'm in the military, and it's actually required that you inform your boss within 24 hours of having your pregnancy confirmed by the base doctors (usually a pee test). My normal job is hazardous, so I have to do completely different duties while pregnant. So in addition to my boss knowing, a few other people in m unit "need to know" for scheduling purposes....and everyone else is going to figure it out pretty quickly I think.
If I had the luxury of keeping it quiet, I would probably wait until about 12 weeks.

Congrats!
I should probably say something considering I work in a lab but I want to wait. I'm nervous about the first trimester thing and I'm worried they will try to target my job. The last few years there have been talk of layoffs and my dept. was lucky until last year when we lost one person.
Congrats! I will tell work at 12-13 weeks (next week) after getting the NT scan results. I'm really close to my boss but she can't keep a secret to save her life and it would be all over my small office within a day. Lol
