It's an escape ladder. Like this
WTF? We did not ask for this. I think it is a terrible present. I have a sneaking suspicion that they bought it so we could put it in the guest room when they visit. Kind of like how we had hooks in the closet magically appear after one of their visits.
Lol. Way worse than the quilt. I wanted one of those when I was little, but my mom said no.
So did I, but mostly because I was thinking about all the fun I could have climbing out my window in the night. I'm not sure what I thought I was going to do once I got out there, but the idea was very appealing.
I kind of want one of those. It's way better than my current plan of stuffing Freddie in a pillowcase and tossing him out on the deck. Edith doesn't even get a pillowcase.
Are anniversary presents from parents common? My parents send us a card on our 1st, but no one (aside from H) has gotten me a gift.
My mil sends cash. We got fancy dive knives from my dad (and I guess my mom she had no prior knowledge of what he bought) one year. He liked to get off the wall things.
I would have loved one for our anniversary. Would have saved me the $100+ that the gubment insisted we spend on one so the grands don't turn to toast if the dryer erupts in flames.
I legit want to buy one of these for my inlaws (but not for their anniversary). When our kids spend the night at their house, they sleep upstairs. I want to make sure my kids are safe!!
lol!!! We had those when I was little too, my mom just recently admitted to my sister and I (last week) that we had them in our rooms as kids (and we had annual safety drills on how to use them) because my mom and dad both smoked and were afraid they might set the house on fire or something if they fell asleep while smoking in bed. ^o) Thanks mom and dad?
