Hi all! I started trying to lose weight back in April and have lost 10 lbs doing weight watchers, running and weight training. I stopped tracking on weight watchers and finally gave that up yesterday. I started using MFP again today and noticed that I had consumed 29 grams of sugar by just eating breakfast!
I use the terrible sugary creamers in my coffee every morning and I'm looking for a better, but still good tasting alternative. If it tastes like crap, I pretty much won't even drink it. also looking for some good breakfasts that are okay on sugar, because the cereals aren't working for me right now! Any ideas or tips in general? I would like to lose another 10 or so pounds, so I'm hoping that cutting some sugar will help with that.
I use stevia and unsweetened almond or soy milk, which I think is delicious. For breakfast I do bananas and peanut butter or a low sugar cereal with fruit (Cheerios is my favorite) and unsweetened vanilla almond milk. 1 serving of regular skim milk packs about 12g of sugar! I also love oatmeal with nuts and 10g of dried cranberries.

I use splenda in my coffee. For breakfast, I have either a protein shake or eggs. I get sick of eggs sometimes, but I switch it up: over easy, scrambled in a wheat tortilla or put in a breakfast sandwich (wheat english muffins.)
I now drink my coffee black, but before I did, I did either heavy whipping cream or coconut milk.
I've said this once recently, but I'll say it again. The day I realized I didn't have to eat "breakfast food" for breakfast was sort of a revolution for me. Breakfast is simply a meal like the rest of them - you can eat anything! I usually do a protein + fat + veggies with little starch or sugar from fruit because this keeps me from snacking throughout the morning.
Thanks everyone for the replies! I will try whole milk with Splenda and see how that goes. My son is allergic to peanuts and tree nuts, but we do have sunflower seed butter I could start using in the morning. I might try soy milk if the whole milk doesn't work out.
