(New Updates) Is the ball in my court? re: new guy

On Sat night, I met a guy at an event which was held at a bar and grill. He definitely made it clear that he was interested in me and showing a lot of attention as well as respect, i.e. offered to buy a drink since it was my birthday and etc. He was very observant himself which is a pleasant surprise as I came in with zero expectations. He practically threw his phone number at me before I left for the night. He proceeds to send me a text later that night asking if I made it home safe.
I did search FB to see if he was on it and he is much cuter than I remember. It’s not that he wasn't cute that night, but rather that I had my radar turned off and he took me by surprise. An even a bigger suprise was that he has a similar background as me with being deaf but speak very well and also emerge himself with hearing people.
So... do I wait to see if he text back again or what? lol? It has been years for me. I want to go really slow but not too slow where I may look like I am not interested.

Ball is in your court. I'd text him back and say it was nice to meet him and ask if he'd like to grab a drink sometime.

Why not just send him a text and say "I really enjoyed meeting you the other night. If you are interested in getting together some time, let me know".

I did but had to keep it short. I had out of town guests and we arrived home past midnight and I had yet to set up their beds and stuff.

I did it and he responded already by saying he felt the same and asked if I was available this Thursday or Friday.

But gee... I never really thought about the challenge of finding time to date as a single mom.... oh boy! I am onto new territory here.
