DH switched to an iPhone this time after having Android for 2 years and hates it. I also hated that he messed up our Apple ID (accidentally changed the email login) and it took me an hour on the phone with Applecare for them to figure it out.
I just ordered an S4. Former iPhone chic. I played with both at Verizon and thought the S4 was way superior. And from the gazillion reviews I've since read, it seems Apple may have quite the competition with the S4. It a smarter smartphone, and features a phenomenal camera.
My DH is all about the android. He does advanced it shit for a living so has some strong preferences for himself.
For me, I switched to an iPhone 5 from an android and love it. I just prefer the ease of use, better availability if apps, and integration of everything.
My husband is a tech guy, and he would never be happy with an iPhone. It can't do the things he wants to do (I'm pretty shaky on what those things are, so please don't ask. His explanation was long and involved and I didn't get it).
I don't want anything complex out of my phone. I use an ipad to write drafts of papers (I finish them up on a pc) as well as track a lot of things, so having a phone that syncs with those apps makes my life easier. I like that everything is set up in a sensible manner almost right out of the box. Yes, I know that I COULD do those things on an android, but it takes effort that I don't want to do. Which is why I'm happier with an iPhone, and why my husband never would be.
