What do you take/do for it? I feel like I could breathe fire, lol.
Take nothing. Breathe fire! Because this would be cool.
Nah really I have no advice, (I had heartburn all of once during pregnancy; after eating Mexican food, I laid down right away=bad move.) but I hope you feel better soon!
I get random sneak-attack heartburn, so changing habits doesn't really help. It was keeping me up at night and the acid was bothering my throat and tongue, so I looked for something preventative.
Prevacid is class B, you take it in the morning regardless of when you eat/ate. It says to take for only 14 days at a time, but OB cleared its fine to take continuously during pregnancy (heartburn meds have those warnings so you don't self-treat stomach cancer or something).
A little bit of vanilla ice cream after meals that don't have lots of dairy has worked miracles for me. I much prefer ice cream over drugs, lol!
(and who's kidding who - it's never just a little bit. It's the little bit (large spoon full) that helps and was advised by the doctor, the rest of the bowl is just for me or womb service)

Really? I've gotten heartburn from dairy.
That's so sad! I love dairy (especially the frozen kind) as a fix...
For severe heartburn I take Prilosec and it's even ok to take Zantac with it because they act in 2 different ways. But I haven't done both. Occasionally I'll chew on a tums but they always seem to follow with nausea for me. So Prilosec first thing in the morning. And don't eat for 3 hours before laying down. Which helps with weight gain. (Bright sides? Lol)
