OH! I just read all three in 3 days last month. I wasn't thrilled with the last 3rd of Catching Fire and the First 2/3 of Mockingjay. The final ending was "okay" but I think I would have liked it better if I had liked the middle of the trilogy better.

I didn't like the ending either. It was too abrupt. Actually, I thought that my library's copy was missing the last few pages, so I kept trying to find them, lol. Then I googled and realized the book was in tact, and the ending sucked.
really? i was perfectly satisfied with how it ended.
of course, i'm also the one girl who wasn't disgusted with the final twilight book.
yep. i'm here.
Same, except for the part about Twilight. All of Twilight is crap and I couldn't make it past the first book (which I had to force myself to finish because it sucked so hard).
I felt like the ending was appropriate to show just how messed up war can make a person. Especially someone who ends up in that position against their will and has severe PTSD. And Buttercup... OMG, Buttercup.

Same here. I consider it a giant accomplishment that I didn't hurl it across the room as I was sorely tempted to throughout my reading of it.

I think you're right regarding the PTSD, etc. I just wanted somehow for them to be okay. But I guess that's the point, war never ends up with things being "okay".

Lets be buds Wan. I love all the nicely tied up in a bow endings.
I feel like it wasn't nicely tied up. I felt like there were sooo many loose ends. The only thing we hear about Gale is that he's working some fancy job in district 2. We also only hear that Annie is having a baby, but... how? She must be an absolute mess after Finnick died.
And Finnick. Oh Finnick. He died and Katniss never mentioned him again.

Annie is having Finnick's baby. She and Finnick get married and she's pregnant when he dies.
And Katniss does mention him again, when she talks about the memory book they made, with photos or sketches and all the memories. She talks about the color of his eyes, and about having a picture of his and Annie's son.
