That is soo awful. When I was at the grocery store yesterday, there was a large sign in front of the pods, stating they were dangerous around children.

Those laundry/dish washer pods are extremely dangerous. I'm pretty sure the dish washer ones are worse because the cleaner is more toxic. Those things look like candies to small children.
I won't buy them. Too easy to drop one by accident and have the cat get it or one of the kids.

I rarely watch the evening news for that very reason. This place isn't the evening news and I don't come to expect stories like this here.
For reference - since it seems like you're new. If people have something to share that may be sad for others, it's generally considered common courtesy to make the title something along this lines.
"Warning - sad story inside".... and then post the rest inside.
