He is going into the training program on Friday afternoon and once he completes that, he can find his forever home.
While I know our house isn't the right permanent home for him, I am going to miss the little bugger*. He can be so serious when he looks at you. And that one flopped over ear...it kills me with the cute.
DH will not miss him. He so isn't into the incessant movement and naughtiness of the terrier that is Alfalfa.
Ugh, what a sweet mug! I seriously love all you've done for him. You know not everyone would have stuck with him, and I really believe your work and patience will make his transition to his forever home SO much easier for him. You rock!
I just wanted to thank everyone who gave great advice when we were just beginning our struggles journey with Alfalfa. Your advice was so valuable and made me not want to give up on our "little man." Now we just need to find him a home with some younger kids and a yard and he will be all set.
Just a heads up. I may be back next week since this is the guy we will be bringing home to foster on Friday. This is Cricket, a Pit/Lab mix. Though he looks much more Pit so I am thinking the Lab part is just so people don't freak out. (first up is to take better pics for his Petfinder profile I have seen a video of one of his training sessions and he doesn't act like the brightest bulb so that will be perfect for Willow because she likes them pretty and not too smart.

So cute! And I totally read that as "the little terror that is Alfalfa".
I've been misreading things a lot recently. Does that mean I'm losing brain cells or something? eep
Well, maybe you were getting some sort of mental image from me since he is a bit of a terror as well as being a terrior.
For example, when the guys were working on our new deck this weekend, Falf kept trying to dig out the posts. They refilled the dirt around the posts and then he dug it up again. Such a stinker.

Oh, what a sweet face! Yeah, there's definitely waaaay more pittie in there. haha Also, the bolded made me LOL.
FastHands We met this beautiful and slightly dopey Great Dane at the local pet supply store. Willow was all set to leave with him because she thought he was just the best thing ever. And she gets all excited when we walk past the house of a St. Bernard in our 'hood because she likes him so much.
Sigh, my sweet girl likes the meatheads apparently.
