I realized today that I can start applying to internships since my h gets scholarship money starting next month, so we don't need my shitty income. and then I can turn those internships into EXPERIENCE and I can use that EXPERIENCE to get REAL JOBS.

I had some suspicions about my MIL and SIL confirmed and I feel vindicated because NO ONE believed me, not even H.

H runs a website. It has been doing really well the past few months, so much so that we were starting to worry about taxes. We talked with someone today and we should be able to make it a legitimate business and that will really help at tax time. Which is awesome.

I used this tutorial for the construction, but this recipe for the dough. I made a couple changes to the recipe: used coconut oil for 1/4 of the butter, added a little nutmeg and the zest of 1 orange. When I mixed in the food coloring (Wilton gel, not liquid), I found that it worked best to mix it with the butter and sugar after you cream it together. I put the sliced cookies in the freezer for a couple minutes so that they were really cold going into the oven and didn't spread out.

well first I have to get the internships, and then I have to commute to and complete them. AND THEN I need to get a real job that will pay me in real money and not metrocards whentheyfeelgenerous.

no buy its a new iPhone which is almost just as awesome!!

It's not new though. A used 4, but it is my first ever iPhone (we're a droid family) and its definitely a step up from my older phone. So I'm happy.
